    2. Take 1 Finely chopped Onion
    3. Take 1 Finely chopped Tomato

    6. Prepare 1/2 bowl Fresh Malai/cream
    7. Prepare 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
    8. Prepare 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
    9. Prepare 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
    10. Prepare 1 teaspoon kitchen king masala
    11. Make ready 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    12. Get to taste Salt
    13. Take FOR POTATO FILLING
    14. Prepare 50 gm Paneer
    15. Make ready 50 gm Green Peas
    16. Prepare 1 smalll Onion
    17. Make ready 1 small Tomato
    18. Take 1 Green chilli

    Chilli-coated potatoes in dum aloo curry are cooked with cream, tomatoes and a flavourful paste of whole spices and onions. I wanted to try Dum Aloo recipe for so long,but never happened. Each time when I buy small potato,I end up in making other small potato recipes like small potato curry or small potato biryani. Dum Aloo or Aloo Dum, a rich and special dish in Kashmiri Cuisine and also in Punjabi Cuisine.


    Instructions

    Steps to make Dum Aloo:

    1. Chop onion, tomato, peas and green chilli in chopper. - Take a pan,heat 1tablespoon oil on medium flame. Add 1 teaspoon cumin seed. Now add chopped veg to it. Stir for 5 minutes then add crushed paneer. Stir fry for 2 minutes and turn off the flame,keep aside
    2. Now peel potatoes and hollow them. - Heat oil in a pan and fry all the potatoes till they turn golden brown. - Now fill them with the mixture.
    3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan, add 1 tablespoon cumin seeds to it. - Add finely chopped onion, green chilli and salt. - Stir until it turns golden brown. - Add finely chopped tomato to it and Mix well
    4. Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, Kitchen king masala(optional) and turmeric powder. - Stir and mix well on med flame.
    5. Now add small bowl of fresh malai in it and stir for 5 min. - Add required water and continue to boil until gravy thickens.
    6. Add pototoes and mix. - Cover pan with lid for 5 minutes. - Turn Off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves and fresh cream.

    The baby potatoes are first deep fried, then cooked slowly at low flame in a gravy with spices. Dry the potatoes on a cloth and heat the ghee or oil. Dum aloo or aloo dum is a very popular dish prepared with baby potatoes. There are many ways of preparing dum aloo. I have prepared it in Punjabi style.
