    2. Get 1 tsp kalonji
    3. Get 1 cup water
    4. Take 1 cup sugar
    5. Prepare 1/2 tsp black salt
    6. Prepare Pinch ginger powder
    7. Prepare 1/2 tsp red chlilli powder

    Dissolve sugar and tamarind powder in warm water. As the fruit matures, the pulp becomes sweeter. At that stage, tamarind is made into candy or jam or pressed to make juice drinks. This tamarind sauce is prepared at regular basis in my pantry as It is widely used in many chat and snacks recipes.

    Steps to make Tamarind sauce:

    1. Heat pan add water and tamarind pulp. Then add sugar and water in it. Cook the mixture till the sugar dissolves completely.
    2. Once the sugar start boiling add black all spices in to it.
    3. Mix well all spices with tamarind mixture, cook till the consistency of chutney becomes little thick.
    4. It take 5 to 7 minutes, then switch off gas.
    5. Cool it then serve with any snacks.

    Heat a nonstick sauce pan over the medium flame. Tamarind concentrate is what I used for this tamarind chutney sauce. It can be difficult for some to find in stores. Tamarind (Tamarindus indica) is a leguminous tree (family Fabaceae) bearing edible fruit that is indigenous to tropical Africa. NOTE: Tamarind sauce can be obtained at an ethnic grocer (some sell online).
